Aurora man slams into police cruisers

It's going to take more than winning the wishbone snap to get an Aurora man out of trouble after a bizarre drunk driving accident early Thursday morning.
Officers in Aurora say the suspect reportedly slammed into two parked police cars while those vehicles were stopped on the shoulder as part of a different drunk driving stop. The initial collision was so powerful, it pushed the two police cars across the street and into a third vehicle driving southbound.

The suspect's car came to a stop wedged between a concrete barrier and another empty police car. When cops approached his vehicle, they saw the driver scramble into the passenger seat, where he then claimed to have not been driving. The problem is, there was no other occupant in the vehicle with him. Needless to say, officers did not buy his "invisible driver" defense and arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.

The driver's name has not been released, but police say he sustained minor injuries. Despite the damage, no other person was injured in the multi-vehicle accident.
