Attendance numbers may be down at the State Fair this year, but overall, organizers are calling it a success.
Revenue is still on course with what it's been in previous years, so managers say they're happy with this year's turn out.
Attendance ranged from around 29,000 to more than 66,000 each day.
They say it's a learning experience, and they're already thinking about new ideas for next year's fair.
"We're looking at opportunities for next year's fair," said Chris Wiseman, the State Fair's General Manager. "We're talking about acts and things that we'll book for next year. Different things we want to do with our other programs, our 4H and FFA programs, talking with those folks, maybe some scheduling things."
More planning begins in four weeks, and revenue totals from this year will be out in November.
