Attempted carjacking in Colorado Springs

A man tells police in Colorado Springs after being arrested for robbery and attempted car jacking he did it cause he needed money. The man first tried to rob a women in the 4100 block of Pikes Peak, but since her windows and doors of her car were locked the suspect got away with nothing, police said. The suspect then went to the Wendy's on Platte and Whasatch where he attempted a car jacking which also failed. The suspect them went to the Safeway on Circle and Galley and walked up to man and put a gun in his face and wanted his wallet which the man gave and the suspect left as police approach they saw the suspect and followed him a few blocks from the Safeway where he was taken into custody and confessed to police.
