Attempted burglary suspect survives third-story fall

A 22 year old is behind bars after making an uninvited late night visit to his ex-girlfriend's house, according to Colorado Springs Police.

Police say Jeremmy Dhume demanded to be let in, but when the victim refused he started breaking windows with his fists. Police say he didn't get into the home, but did suffer cuts to his arms and hands.

When he got back to his new girlfriend's hom on Burton Way, he went to the third foor balcony to smoke a cigarette and calm down. He lost balance and fell about 20 feet, hitting the first floor balcony before landing on the ground head first. Police say his only injuries are a five-inch cut to the back of his head and contusions to his torso.

He was booked at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center for felony attempted burglary and criminal mischief. He is also facing misdemeanor harassment.
