At risk youth help flower store for Valentine's Day

A behavioral treatment center for at risk youth has teamed up with a flower shop to teach kids a valuable life lesson.
This week El Pueblo Ranch and Petals Flowers and Greenhouse are making floral arrangements for Valentine's day. Young people from the ranch are helping, as part of a vocational class. They'll also deliver the flowers Friday through Sunday--"Valentine's day." El Pueblo says the experience gives them self esteem and teaches them good work ethic.
"This is a big chance for them to really show the community that they're great kids, that they have a lot to offer, they're going to get all dressed up and just have a lot of fun delivering and hopefully making a lot of people happy," said Patty Erjavec, President and CEO of El Pueblo Ranch.
All net proceeds from the floral sale will benefit programs at El Pueblo. Petals is still taking orders and can be reached at 719-542-2923.
