Artists, musicians kickoff opening of Pueblo arts corridor

Oct. 5: Today is also the grand opening of the Creative Arts Corridor in Pueblo. This afternoon and evening you'll see street performs, musicians and artists showcasing their talents. The arts corridor includes the Mesa Junction neighborhood, Historic Union Ave. and Downtown Pueblo.
The Pueblo Performing Arts Guild, including 80 volunteers, are putting on the event. The PPAG is hoping to earn a designation as a Creative Arts District, which would channel more state funding to our region. Susan Fries, with the PPAG says their goals are are to promote tourism and increase sales tax revenues for local shopping districts.
You can catch all fun going on tonight until about 8:30 p.m.
