FRUITA, Colo. (AP) - Officials say a suspect has been arrested in several thefts from cars at a trailhead in and near the Colorado National Monument.

Monument officials said Wednesday they received several reports of vehicles being broken into in early June at the western Colorado site.

One of the victims reported her stolen credit cards had been used at grocery stores in Fruita and Grand Junction. Store surveillance cameras captured photos of a suspect and they were distributed to local law enforcement agencies. Officials identified the suspect as 25-year-old Fruita resident Cody Lynn.

Park and federal rangers, police and Mesa County sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at Lynn's home Tuesday. Officials say Lynn was arrested on a federal warrant and taken to jail. State charges are also pending.
