Pueblo police Wednesday named the man they say is responsible for a deadly hit-and-run crash earlier this spring.
Victor Montour, 31, was charged with Failure to Remain at the Scene or Give Information and/or Aid after Accident Involving Death after driving a white Jaguar into a home at the intersection of Hollywood and Ivywood on Pueblo's south side on March 11, killing Johnnie Hagerman, 46, as he sat in the front room of his home. Hagerman's wife, Lori, was injured.
Pueblo police say Montour was already in jail on unrelated charges of probation violation when he was served an arrest warrant Wednesday morning. Montour is currently serving a 60-day sentence stemming from those charges. He will be held on $100,000 bond after that sentence is served.
Pueblo police say Montour fled from the scene after driving his wife's Jaguar into the Hagermans' home. According to court papers, Montour and his wife then lied to police to try to cover up the crime. Surveillance footage and evidence recovered at the scene, however, identified Montour as the driver of the Jaguar. Montour's driver's license had been revoked following numerous DUIs and a separate hit-and-run.
