Arrest made in deadly hit and run at S. Circle and Verde

Colorado Springs Police are just announcing that they have made an arrest in connection with the deadly hit and run that occurred just South of the intersection of S.Circle and Verde Dr. Police have arrested Mark Doutt for his involvement in an accident resulting in death. The charge is being called a class three felony.
The accident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. Saturday and investigators began getting tips later in the morning which led them to a 1998 Buick Regal in the 700 block of Squire Street in Security Widefield. Investigators found that the vehicle had damage consistent with this crash and was determined to be the vehicle that was involved in this accident.
The victim has now been identified as William Byas Jr, age 44 of Colorado Springs. Byas died from a spinal injury he sustained during the accident. An investigation continues.
