Arrest in shots fired call

A man is under arrest on weapons and child abuse charges, following an incident in Security Monday afternoon.
El Paso County Sheriff's investigators received a disturbance call at a home on Fordham Street with reports of shots fired. Eight people were detained, a search warrant was issued and sheriff's deputies were able to recover a firearm and make an arrest.
40 year old Jeremy Cordova is in jail, facing four counts, including a felony charge of illegal discharge of a weapon. Also reckless endangerment and prohibited use of a weapon. The non injury child abuse charge was issued because there was a child in the home at the time of the shooting.
No one was hurt.
