The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the murder of Robert Piserchio. The suspect has been identified as Aaron M. Wilkerson of Colorado Springs.
Investigators say Wilkerson was arrested this morning near the intersection of Stone and Fillmore in Colorado Springs in a joint effort with the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, Colorado Springs Police, and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force.
Investigators in Colorado Springs say Wilkerson is also the suspect in a robbery outside an Office Max store earlier this month. A 62-year old woman was assaulted with a stun gun in that incident.
Robert Piserchio was found dead in his Pueblo County home on December 10th. The Coroner says the 50-year old suffered blunt force trauma to the head and also had burns and wounds on his body.
Wilkerson is being held at the El Paso County Justice Center on $500,000 bond. Investigators are not releasing a photo of him at this time.
Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor says his office is still looking for another man in connection with this case. His name is Matthew Barnes. He also goes by the name Matthew Green. If you have any information on where he is, you're asked to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP
