Arizona residents are digging out or drying out after the biggest series of storms to hit the state in nearly two decades.

Deadly winds and rains led to flooding, a train derailment and closed major interstates. Some mountain towns were buried under feet of snow.

Storm-related deaths include three people in vehicle accidents and two others killed by falling trees. Searchers continue to look for a 6-year-old boy swept away by flooding late Thursday.

Meanwhile, hundreds of California evacuees are being allowed back home at the end of a week of lightning, vicious downpours and tornadoes. Tens of thousands of California residents remain without power.

The storm system has moved on to New Mexico, where winds toppled a 100-foot broadcasting tower and knocked several TV and radio stations off the air.
