More agents and more drones along the Mexican border are just what states like Arizona are demanding from Washington.
And Arizona Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick wants the in-recess Senate to act quickly to make it happen. A spokesman for Majority Leader Harry Reid says they're hoping for passage by the end of the week -- even though the full Senate is not in session.
Kirkpatrick says it's time for the federal government "to stop letting us down and start getting the job done" on tighter border security.
In a gush of bipartisanship this week, the House approved some $600 million to beef up the effort on the border against illegal immigration.
