Americans, 33 million to be exact, plan to hit the road this Labor Day despite rising gas prices.
AAA says millions plan to go 50 miles or more away from home.
That's almost a 3% increase from last year.
The national average for a gallon of gas is now about 40 cents more than it was July 1.
Plus traveling families will also have to deal with hotel rooms costing 4-6% more than last year.
