Arapahoe County woman sweeps fair food competition

She bakes breads, cookies and cakes--and her canning skills are top notch. This year Amy Clements of Araphoe County was dubbed Queen of the Kitchen at the Colorado State Fair. She got ribbons in 80 categories, including 29 first place ribbons.
This year more than 7,400 arts and crafts were entered into the fair's annual competition. Participants are eligible for discounted fair tickets. Winners can brag about having the best pie, quilt or dollhouse in the state!
As Queen of the Kitchen, Clements won $200 and a commemorative sterling silver bowl.
