Pueblo's serene riverwalk is looking more like a swampland these days. The HARP Authority is fighting at least two species of weeds that have spread up and down the river channel.

"It's a dilemma," said Lynn Clark, with the HARP Authority. "We can't used chemical or biological control because it feeds back into the Arkansas River," she added.

The HARP Authority has volunteers that rake out the weeds on a regular basis, but the pesky plants keep coming back.

We're going to meet with the HAPR Authority this morning and find out how they plan to tackle this problem. More to come.
