Members of the Colorado State University-Pueblo community, including students, faculty, staff, administrators, athletics representatives, and Foundation members, along with participating contractors, will gather to break ground celebrating the expansion and enhancement of the soccer/lacrosse facility.
What: Groundbreaking for the new CSU-Pueblo Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium and a special announcement
Date: Wednesday, April 2
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: CSU-Pueblo Soccer/Lacrosse Field (south of the Neta and Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl), 2200 Bonforte Blvd, Pueblo, CO
Why: As a result of the addition of men's and women's lacrosse in Fall, 2014, the existing soccer complex will be enhanced through private dollars with a new synthetic turf field, 450-seat grandstand, public restrooms, a concession area, press box, lobby, locker rooms, and offices.
· Approximate Cost - $3,000,000
· Location - On current CSU-Pueblo soccer field
o Five(5) Locker Rooms, each with 50 lockers
o Public restrooms, concession area ticket booth, press box, and lobby area
o Synthetic turf field
o 450-seat grandstand
· Schedule - Start project in Spring 2014 and complete project in Fall 2014
