Another cold night ahead

A Freeze Warning is in effect from 2am until 9am Sunday for the Highway 50 corridor from Canon City to Lamar and points south including Walsenburg, Trinidad, and Springfield.

It'll be another cold night tonight thanks to clear skies overhead and a light wind. Temperatures overnight will drop below freezing ranging from the upper 20s to the lower 30s.

Warmer temperatures return to Southern Colorado Sunday! Highs will be about 5 degrees above average for this time of year. Most spots look to top out in the 70s with plenty of sunshine overhead once again.

The warmth continues into the workweek with highs in the 70s/80s through Thursday across much of the region with more sunshine. A system looks to move through Colorado late Thursday into early Friday. That system will knock temperatures down to seasonal readings for the end of the week. The best chance for precipitation with this system will remain up over the mountains with an isolated shower or storm possible over the lower elevations Thursday night through Friday morning.
