All eyes in Washington will be on the annual Trustees Report on the status of Social Security and Medicare today.
Trustees and members of President Obama's cabinet will speak to the press on what the reports hold.
Last year's report brought future issues to light, most notably the need for a fix to Social Security's disability insurance by 2016.
Since spending on Medicare and Social Security involve such a large portion of federal government expenses, politicians and advocates of every stripe will be watching this report closely.
