Amateur rocketeers to launch 50 pound rocket

The Southern Colorado Rocketeers and the Valkyrie Civil Air Patrol Squadron plan to launch a 50 pound rocket on Saturday southwest of Pueblo.
They hope the rocket will reach 7,000 feet above the ground. It has a total of 7 rocket motors that will fire in sequence. And it will shoot video on the way.
It will happen Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Hobson Ranch off Highway 78 southwest of Pueblo. Other rockets will launch throughout the day. Spectators get in free.
