Alpha Beta plant fire update

Pueblo firefighters are continuing to monitor the old Alpha Beta meat packing building after a fire Sunday night. It happened on the 300 Block of South Santa Fe Avenue.

Officials closed several blocks of Santa Fe Avenue, along with other side streets. Parts of I-25 were also closed for a short time for safety reasons.

Officials say one firefighter suffered minor injuries from falling on ice. Investigators are still working to determine a cause for the fire.
