Alert: Mt. Herman fire

Fire crews are on the way to a small fire burning near Mt. Herman Rd and Forest Service Rd 716. Responders include El Paso Wildland Crew, Tri-Lakes FD, Monument FD, Palmer Lake FD, and the Forest Service. Smoke is visible from Monument, I-25, and northern El Paso County.
Officials say one half acre has been affected by the fire. Crews are establishing a containment line around the fire now. No structures are in danger.
