A hike didn't feel very healthy for most outsiders this morning...as the winds blow smoke from Larimer County down the range and over the Springs.
Colorado is one of two areas today sitting under smoke from the High Park Fire. Fort Collins and Greeley, which are right next to the fire, are the second area.
Today, the state issued a warning saying the air quality is in the "moderate" range, and hikers understand why.
"It was harder to swallow," said Manoela Colindres. "The air felt a lot thicker and it was harder to breathe. My legs were really shakey, my heart was beating really fast. It didn't feel good and I had to stop many times." The health department recommends the very young, the elderly and those with respiratory problems, to stay indoors until at least tomorrow afternoon.
