Making its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1997, the AFA Men's Soccer Team lost to the University of Washington 1-0 on Thursday.
The Huskies outshot the Falcons 10-6 in total shots and 4-1 in shots on goal. Senior Kevin Durr nearly tied the game in the 61st minute, but his shot from the top of the box hit the crossbar and fell back into play.
Ten Air Force Seniors played their final college game. They made their last season at the Academy a memorable one. Air Force head coach Doug Hill said, "I thank the seniors for their contributions and getting this program back on the winning side. They will be great future leaders in the United States Air Force."
