Air Force Hockey Team Falls to UConn on the Road

Air Force outshot UConn 36-29 on Friday, but still wound up losing 2-1 to the Huskies.

Trailing by a goal, A.F. had two power plays in the third period but were unable to convert.  With 2:44 remaining and a faceoff in the offensive zone, the Falcons pulled their goalie in favor of an extra skater.  They kept the puck in the zone for the majority of the time and had four shots on goal but were unable to tie it up.

With the loss, the Falcons fell to 3-5-3 overall and 2-2-1 in league play.

Air Force and UConn conclude the series on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.  Faceoff is at 3:35 ET.
