Air Force Academy gets new commandant of cadets

The Air Force Academy is getting a new commandant of cadets. The Air Force said Friday Brig. Gen. Richard M. Clark will take over the position, replacing Brig. Gen. Samuel Cox.

Cox will become commander of the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center, part of the Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Clark comes to the academy from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., where he was vice commander of the 8th Air Force, part of the Global Strike Command.
