After a cooler day today, we will be warm and sunny for several days!

TODAY: Low clouds over our area this morning, but they will decrease over the afternoon hours. We will be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than yesterday. Highs will be near 45 in Colorado Springs and Teller County, near 50 in Pueblo, and near 55 in Canon City. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the 20s.

WEDNESDAY: With mostly sunny skies, we will begin to warm again with highs near 60 in Colorado Springs, mid to upper 60s in Pueblo and Canon City, upper 40s in Teller County. Mostly clear with lows near 30 degrees.

THURSDAY: Sunny and warmer with highs near 65 in Colorado Springs, near 70 in Pueblo and Canon City, near 55 in Teller County. Overnight will be mostly clear with lows in the 30s.

FRIDAY: This will be our warmest day with highs near 68 in Colorado Springs, near 76 in Pueblo, 71 in Canon City, and 57 in Teller County. Overnight, mostly clear skies with lows in the 30s again.

THIS WEEKEND: There is a slight chance for unsettled weather as a cold front will move through. Highs will be about 5 degrees cooler. Still should be a nice weekend with highs in the 60s. We will be watching to see if the chances for rain/snow increase over the next couple days. Nights will be partly cloudy with lows near 30.

MONDAY: Mostly sunny with a slight chance for unsettled weather and daytime highs will be a few degrees cooler.

Falcon school fights to save student's life

FALCON- Aden Knar, a third grade student at Falcon Virtual Academy, is in need of a life-saving bone marrow transplant. His school, Falcon Virtual Academy, will host a bone marrow donor drive tomorrow to help find a match Aden. Knar, 10, was diagnosed at age 4 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and entered remission in 2008. In November 2013, the Knar family learned that the leukemia had returned, and is now isolated in his bone marrow. In an outreach of support, Falcon Virtual Academy hosted a bone marrow donor drive in January, and will be hosting another tomorrow from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 6113 Constitution Ave., directly west of Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. "We wanted to reach out to the family again," said Jodi Fletcher, assistant principal. Fletcher explained that more than 250 people participated in the January drive, and she hopes to have similar numbers April 19.
