AFA has new Commandant of Cadets

Brig. Gen. Richard M. Clark is the Air Force Academy's 25th Commandant of Cadets. He took command Friday morning in a change of command ceremony.

General Clark is a 1986 graduate of the Academy. He commands the 4,400-member Cadet Wing and more than 300 Air Force and civilian support personnel. He also oversees cadet military training, supervises cadet life activities and provides support to cadet facilities and logistics.

General Clark is a command pilot with more than 4,200 flight hours, primarily in the B-1 bomber.

The outgoing Commandant of Cadets, Brig. Gen. Samuel D. Cox, will become the commander of the 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center for the Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
