Mulching using helicopters in the Waldo Canyon burn area is now complete.
Just over 3,000 acres was treated with mulch over the last few weeks. About 8,000 tons of mulch was put into place.
In addition the Burn Area Response team was installed 50 Flash Flood warning signs, put in two gates on Rampart Range Road and stabilized eight miles of trails.
Future plans include work on 16 miles of Forest Service roads and monitoring the burned areas for invasive weeds.
