Actor Danny Glover to speak tonight

Actor and activist Danny Glover will speak in Pueblo tonight, at an event hosted by CSU-Pueblo. Probably best known for his role in the Lethal Weapon movies, he has been a mainstay in Hollywood since a bit part in Escape from Alcatraz in 1979.
He's also known as a progressive political activist. Recently he asked his peers in the entertainment industry not to wear suits made by Hugo Boss at the Academy Awards to protest a recent decision to shut down an Ohio plant.
According to Fox News he told Grit TV in January the Haiti earthquake was caused by global warming.
The "Conversation with Danny Glover" starts at 7 p.m. at the Occhiato Center Ballroom at the CSU-Pueblo campus. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
