Aces take opener from Sky Sox

The Sky Sox got out to a 4-1 lead but could not close and lost 7-6 to the Reno Aces in the opener of a four-game series at Security Service Field Tuesday night.

Aces' reliever Jordan Norberto (3-0) was credited with the win while Alan Johnson (4-2, 2.98) took his second defeat of the year. Reno (23-30) snapped their six-game losing streak while the Sox fell to 23-28.

Game 2 of the series is Wednesday. The Sky Sox will send lefty Josh Muecke (0-3, 7.90) to the mound to take on Reno's Kevin Mulvey (0-4, 4.65). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
