A bad accident snarled traffic on Highway 50 in Pueblo Friday evening. It happened near the car dealerships along 50, near Baltimore Rd.
Police say the crash shut down the highway for about an hour and sent a family to the hospital.
We're told police got a call about 7 p.m. reporting a man in an SUV driving erratically near Elizabeth and Highway 50. Police say the driver hit a crosswalk sign and kept going.
Officers say the driver continued on Highway 50 westbound, crossed over into the eastbound lane at Baltimore and crashed into a mini-van carrying a father and his two young sons.
The driver and victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but the injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
Police say the driver of the SUV faces charges of DUI, hit and run and careless driving.
