It stands to reason that the harder cut weekend is, the better the team. This weekend was the toughest for John Elway since he's been in the Broncos front office.
Cutting the roster down to 53 men forced he and his staff to make the most difficult decisions of Elway's tenure in the front office, but it all means that the depth chart has the most talent since that tenure began.
"The toughest part of my job, having to get down to 53, and especially with all the hard work, it's heart-breaking dreams. It's a difficult thing to say goodbye to the guys who worked so hard. It's a situation that you want to be in, having to make a lot of tough decisions like we had to make, so, this is by far the deepest team since I've been here, and the toughest decisions we've had since I've been here."
Some of those tough decisions were paid off Sunday. Tthe team signed nine players to their practice squad including a few big names that they cut from their active roster. Kapri Bibbs and Shaquil Barrett, both rookies from CSU, and Zac Dysert.
