Clouds will thicken Tuesday with snow developing late. Snow and wind will create treacherous travel in most parts of Colorado late Tuesday and Wednesday. Colorado Springs and Pueblo could get a trace to 3" by Wednesday evening. Northern El Paso County, Teller County, Wet and Sangre de Cristo mountains could get 3-7". The far eastern plains near the Kansas border can expect 4-9" of snow with plenty of wind and near blizzard conditions. The San Juan mountains may end up with 12-18" out of this storm. A lingering flurry possible early Thursday, then dry and cold on Christmas. Gradually warming temperatures over the weekend. The bottom line, if you have to travel late Tuesday into Wednesday check road reports and allow plenty of extra time.
