A new home for The Press

Colorado College's printing presses have a new home on campus and to celebrate the school is inviting the community to an open house this Thursday.

The Press at Colorado College is a collection of fine printing presses that used to be housed in the basement of Jackson House.

This summer the college moved the machines to a new, easier to access building on campus.  Along the way, doors and windows had to be removed and a concrete retaining wall had to be torn down and rebuilt.

The new location is more accessible for disabled persons and community groups taking printing classes.

An open house and free lecture by guest speaker Betty Bright will take place on campus Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center Screening Room, 825 N. Cascade Avenue
