A mixed bag of weather ahead for the workweek

A system developing to our west will help bring some moisture to the higher elevations overnight resulating in a few isolated snow showers for areas like the Pikes Peak region and the Palmer Divide. Otherwise, the rest of Southern Colorado will see an increase in cloud cover overnight with calming winds.

Expect partly sunny skies Monday with an isolated late day shower possible for areas near the mountains including the Springs and Canon City. Highs will once again top out at near seasonal values in the 50s/60s.

The storm system to our west will finally move through Colorado late Tuesday and into Wednesday bringing a chance for rain and snow to the region during this time frame. Expect highs in the 30s/40s for both Wednesday and Thursday.

The second half of the week looks to dry out and warm up with highs back in the 50s/60s just in time for the weekend.
