A lovely weekend on the way

Cool clearing skies are expected for Friday evening. A beautiful late summer weekend is on the way for southern Colorado. Dry weather and sunny skies will rule for Saturday and Sunday. Only a slight chance for a thunderstorm is possible in the mountains this weekend. Saturday will be the cooler of the two days, with Sunday's forecast highs about 5-8 warmer than Saturday. Thunderstorm chances will return for the middle part of next week.

Colorado Springs: Sunny, light winds, high 74
Pueblo: Sunshine, light winds, high 79
Monument: Mostly sunny, light winds, high 71
Teller County: Mostly sunny, light winds, high 65
