One 12 year-old girl's birthday party in Colorado Springs was explosive Sunday afternoon.

Twelve year-old Madison Michel and her guests got to do lots of science experiments at her birthday party with a famous science teacher, Steve Spangler. He helped the kids conduct electricity, create a vacuum, and create a geyser with mentos and soda.

Spangler is a family friend and was more than happy to attend the party. He's the guy who gained internet fame with his "mentos geyser experiment."
