Sometimes even coaches need a little coaching. Today about a 100 of the courtside motivators moved to the classroom for a workshop by "Coaches of Excellence"

"We've seen retention of athletes go up dramatically," said Dan Taylor, the company's COO. "We've seen satisfaction of coaches go up tremendously so coaches aren't getting burned out and leaving and they enjoy what they're doing. And the number of parent issues have gone down dramatically because everybody is on the same page."

The program challenges coaches to be great people on and off the field, looking for teachable moments amidst the challenges. It comes just a few weeks after Colorado Springs police say a referee was beaten up by a parent at a local basketball game.
"I think all the coaches today need to strap on the challenge to bring the focus back to fun, to fundamentals, to we're good citizens in our community and our nation," said Steve Case, a coach.
