A hippo of a day at the zoo

It was a big day for a big animal at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on Tuesday.
A crowd of kids helped Kasai the hippo celebrate her eleventh birthday. They sang "Happy Birthday" as she marched up the ladder to eat her veggie and whipped cream cake.
Kasai was joined by her older sister, Zambezi, who also indulged in some healthy treats.
Afterwards, both hippos returned to the water to swim off their afternoon snack.
