All Breed Rescue and Training hosted its 13th annual Romp in the Park at the Norris-Penrose Event Center on Saturday.
"It's a big carnival for dogs," says Lauren Fox of All Breed Rescue and Training.
The event is held in recognition of the international homeless animal day.
"The Humane Society processes [euthanizes] several thousand animals a month," says Fox.
Organizers hope this event will bring awareness to the community about the epidemic of homeless animals, as well as to help owners with any problems they may encounter with their pet.
"The number one reason why people relinquish dogs to shelters and rescues is because of behavior and training problems, and so, just know there is a way to fix those issues. If they're having any problems, whatsoever, we can help fix any problems so those dogs can actually stay in their homes," adds Fox.
