A warm wind will help warm sunshine to warm temperatures from this morning's 30's and 40's into the 70's and 80's this afternoon. High pressure is the main weather feature today, and will mean a sunny day.
Temperatures will warm through the 50's by 10 AM and into the 60's and 70's in most areas by noon. Colorado Springs will top out around 75 degrees. Pueblo will hit 82 before temperatures start coming down after 4 PM. Highs today will be in the 60's in Teller County and on Monument Hill. Areas along and south of the Arkansas River will warm to near 80.
The next big change in our area's weather comes on Friday. That is when we can expect a noticeable cool down along with an increase in cloud cover. The clouds will bring increased odds of rain along and east of I-25 and some snow in the mountains west of I-25, including Woodland Park and Cripple Creek.
