GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Grand Junction is cracking down on social networking for city employees.

All city employees are asked to refrain from posting photos of themselves in uniform or wearing any type of badge or clothing that would identify them as working for the city.

According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the city is worried about the potential for lawsuits, misinformation and the effect on the city's credibility.

Employees are asked to write a disclaimer on their private sites to declare their statements are their own thoughts and not the opinions of the city.
