A High Wind Warning is in effect for parts of Southern Colorado including El Paso (mainly along and west of I-25) and Teller Counties and the Sangre De Cristo and Wet Mountains through Sunday morning. Expect sustained winds of 25 to 50 mph from the west with wind gusts up to 65 and even 75 mph during this time frame.
The second half of the weekend remains quiet weather-wise with partly sunny skies overhead plus near average highs. A stray rain or snow shower is possible for areas like the Palmer Divide and Teller County in the morning Sunday otherwise expect dry conditions for your Sunday.
A storm system will affect Southern Colorado Tuesday and Wednesday bringing colder air to the region as well as a chance for rain and snow. The best day for precipitation as of now looks to be Wednesday.
By the end of the week, temperatures look to rebound back into the 50s and 60s with more clouds than sun around.
