911 service in Colorado Springs is down

Colorado Springs police confirm, 911 service to Colorado Springs police is not working as of Sunday night. When you call 911 in the city of Colorado Springs, you will get a dispatcher from El Paso County, who will then route the call to Colorado Springs Police.
If you live in Colorado Springs city limits and have an emergency, police say you may have faster service if you call 719-444-7000. That is the non-emergency number answered by the same police dispatchers who answer 911 calls.
