911 call released in Pacheco hit and run accident

We're learning more about the hit and run accident involving Pueblo City Manager Jerry Pacheco.

The 911 call has been released from the woman who says her car was hit by Pacheco.

The woman who called 911 says her name is Sue Welty.

She called police on Wednesday while driving on I-25 north saying a car was driving erratically.

Both got off at Eagleridge, and Welty ended up behind the other driver, later identified as Pacheco, at the intersection of Eagleridge and Elizabeth.

In the 911 call you can hear her say Pacheco rolls back into her vehicle then pulls off when the light turns green.

Welty: "He's pulling away. He's going to damage my car."

911: "Okay are you still following him?"

Welty: "I am."

911: "Okay maybe he'll pull over, but..."

Welty: "I don't think so. He's pulling away from me. He's going really fast.">

Pacheco has not been cited.

City Council Member Chris Nicoll tells us he and several other council members are the ones that called for an executive session this Tuesday to discuss what happened with Pacheco.

He says the 911 call left too many questions with him as to how it was handled.
