A Pueblo County Sheriff's Officer stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation Wednesday afternoon and found several pounds of methamphetamine inside.
The stop happened about 20 miles south of Pueblo on I-25. With the help of a K-9 dog, officers found a compartment that contained approximately 9 and a half pounds of meth. The street value of the drugs was estimated at $750,000. Oscar Lara Acosta, 33, of Mexico and his passenger Juvantino Villalba-Leyva, 45, were arrested on drug possession and distribution charges.
Both men are being held at Pueblo County Jail.
