7 Colorado Springs police officers honored

The Colorado Springs Police Foundation is hosting the 26th Annual Medal of Valor Luncheon today.
It honors officers who display heroism, courage and initiative beyond the call of duty.
Colorado Springs Mayor Steve Bach and Lieutenant Governor Joe Garcia will be at the ceremony at the Broadmoor International Center.
Six officers will be recognized with the Distinguished Service Award, and one officer will be presented with the Medal of Valor Award by Colorado Springs Chief of Police, Richard W. Myers.
