Five snowmobilers are safe after going missing overnight in Routt County.

The snowmobilers are men between the ages of 25 and 33 who didn't return home from a snowmobiling trip in north Routt County Sunday.

Just as three search and rescue teams prepared to set out after them Monday morning, the men returned safely to a parking lot.

Jim Linville of Routt County Search and Rescue says the men were not lost, but got stuck in nearly 30 inches of fresh snow that had accumulated during the weekend.

Rescuers say the men built a big fire to stay warm overnight.
