4th Street bridge: trail closures continue

The Colorado Department of Transportation says the Arkansas River Trail under the 4th Street Bridge will remain closed through Friday, January 8, 2010.
According to a release, the trail was closed to users on November 30th. It was supposed to re-open yesterday but work isn't complete yet. Crews are lowering temporary support work for the new eastbound bridge in the area.
Safety considerations will not allow the path to reopen until the work is completed.
The trail remains closed around-the-clock, including weekends.
